A word from our Pastor
The Lord’s Supper is one of two of the ordinances that we observe here at Toms Creek, the first being Baptism. The Lord’s Supper is a very sacred time in the Church. It is a time when we look at the sacrifice that Christ made, the fellowship in which we now have with Him and the Promise that He made of returning. Previous to partaking of the Lord’s Supper it is important that we examine our lives and ask ourselves in light of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus is my life being lived the way it ought to be. If not, then it is a good time to repent, and recommit your life to Christ. As you partake of the Lord’s Supper it is an excellent time to look at the fruit of the vine and the unleavened bread remembering that they represent the blood and the body of Jesus that were given for you. As you look at them, worship through a time of thanksgiving. As Christians we have much to be thankful for in the atonement that Christ made for us. The whole of our salvation is due to the payment that Christ made for our sins, therefore all of what we have and who we are is because of Jesus. Finally remember as you partake of the Lords Supper that Jesus is coming again, that He is coming to rapture His Church out of this world, He is coming and there will be a great resurrection, the grave of all the saved will be opened and there will be a great reunion in the skies. This day is coming and as you partake of the Lord’s Supper worship the Lord for the promise He has given of a better day.Fellowship, Worship, Discipleship
